We were delighted by the success of our volunteering and recruitment open day, held 8 January. There is one last chance for applicants for paid work before the closing date on Sunday 14th January and for voluntary posts also.
Lisa Holden, Visitor Services Manager here at Treasurer's, spent Saturday chatting to people about joining the team. Lisa was thrilled by the number of interested and interesting people coming to chat at the open day about joining the team. It was really encouraging to meet people across such a large age range with such varied skills and to not only talk about our passion for work we already do at Treasurer’s House, but to see it mirrored in people wanting to find out how they can be a part of caring for our built and natural heritage. If anyone else in the York area is inspired to get more involved with the National Trust’s work but missed the open day on Saturday, then it’s not yet too late. We will be hosting another open day on Wednesday 12th January 11.30 – 2pm. We’d still love to hear from them about volunteering and would welcome applications for paid work until Friday 14th January. Meanwhile, we’ll be working hard preparing to welcome and train new members of staff and volunteers in time for our House opening date of 19th February.”
